On A Quest For The West
Lately I’ve been craving some serious west coast rhymes. In search of the perfect album to satisfy me I put on my favorite mixtape of the summer, Dom Kennedy’s From The Westside, With Love. Unfortunately I have listened to this mixtape over one hundred times (You like that Dom?). So I went on a new search to find some more solid west coast talent. Thankfully I stumbled upon Skeme, an LA rapper who was featured on some of Kenney’s tracks. Skeme’s mixtape Pistols and Palm Trees is packed with lifestyle summaries from the city of Angles. Tracks “Pistols” and “Palm Trees” share addicting baselines and catchy synth effects that mimmick the bass. Don’t pass these up!!
